Many people today do not seem to be as scared as they used to with tarantulas as say 5 or10 years ago. You might also find it strange that though these Indians look for guidance with the tarantula, they will also eat them as a quick snack when out hunting in the forests of south America.

to date there has never been a case of a tarantula killing a person, they are venomous only to small animals.
